Jerry Encinia, a cherished husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend passed away on October 27, 2024 in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 29 . He was born on August 23, 1995, in Corpus Christi to Jose Mendoza and Ramona Encinia. Jerry's life touched the hearts of many, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mercedes Morin, and beloved children, Josiah James Morin and Jadalyn Faith Encinia, Azealia Bliss Encinia. Jerry is also survived by his parents; sisters, Monica Encinia (Eloy Espinoza), Nicole Encinia; brothers, Jose Manuel Encinia, and Luis Gabriel Encinia. His family was his world, and he wore the roles of husband and father with exceptional grace and dedication.
Jerry was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Manuel and Nicolasa Encinia.
In remembrance of Jerry's life, visitation will be held on November 4, 2024, at Winsteads' Funeral Home in Mathis, Texas, starting at 3:00 pm, with Holy Rosary taking place that evening at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be held the following day, November 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis, Texas followed by interment at Descanso Eterno II.
Jerry Encinia will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit lives on in the love of his family and friends.
