Jerry Dale Farmer

Mr. Jerry Dale Farmer, age 72, of Woodburn, KY passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at his residence.
 
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will continue Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 6:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, April 30, at 2:00 PM with interment to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
 
Jerry was born on March 20, 1952, in Bowling Green, KY to the late Raymond Farmer and the late Annetta (Runner) Farmer. He is also preceded in death by his grandson, John Michael Forshee.
 
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wanda Farmer; 3 children, Wes Forshee (Kathie) of Franklin, KY, Shirley Landrith of Ludlow, KY and Jerri Lynn Fleenor (Brad) of Woodburn, KY; 1 brother, Larry Farmer of Franklin, KY; 5 grandchildren, Josh Landrith, Taylor Beller, Tiffany Forshee, John Wesley Forshee, and Keagan Fleenor; and 3 great-grandchildren. 
 
Jerry was a 1970 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School. He worked for the City of Franklin for 32 years and was the superintendent of the Water Treatment Plant. He loved life and laughing was a favorite thing of his. He never took things too seriously and he was a mentor and best friend to many people. He loved craftsmanship and loved spending time with his family and friends. 
 
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Simpson County Schools, 430 South College Street, Franklin, Ky 42134 for the Family Resource Center at the Central Office to help with the Backpack Program, attn: Amanda Spears.  Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
