Brenda Kaye Perdue, a cherished resident of Franklin, KY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on Saturday, November 21, 1953, in Franklin, KY, Brenda remained a beloved member of her community throughout her life.
A 1971 alumnus of Franklin-Simpson High School, Brenda dedicated 41 years to her occupation in accounts payable, with the Kendall Company/Berry Plastics. Her commitment and diligence in her occupation were evident to all who worked alongside her.
Brenda found joy in travel, singing, and cherished moments with her family and cousins. As a member of the Medicare Misfits and Red Hat Sweeties, she enjoyed camaraderie and laughter that came with these gatherings. Her deep faith was apparent through her membership at Woodburn Baptist Church.
Brenda is survived by her devoted spouse of 53 years, Freddie Perdue. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children, Mark Perdue (Tiffany) of Bowling Green, KY, Craig Gray (Melissa) of Franklin, KY, Christopher Perdue of Franklin, KY, and Kara Jo West (Cody) of Franklin, KY. Brenda was also a proud grandmother to Taylor, Lauren, Tayler, Austin, Madison, Tyler, Solina, Lilly, Emimily, Dauvi, Alexa (Nick), Jayden, CJ; 7 great-grandchildren, Paxton, Paiglee, Pierce, Payton, Emma, Jamison, Elsie. Her sisters, Glenda Jones and Helen Pearson of Franklin, KY, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins, also mourn her passing.
She reunites in heaven with her parents, William Henry “Bill” Gregory and Hauty Mae (Lawrence) Gregory, her birth parents, Robert Gregory and Flossie Dee Gregory, and her siblings, Ray Gregory, Mary Elizabeth Grace, Helen Aton, Thelma Johns, William “Bob” Gregory, Patsy Andrews, Joyce Carver, Betty Sue Toney, Jackie Gregory, Janie Buchanan, and Don Gregory.
Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation that will be held at Gilbert Funeral Home in Franklin, KY on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service, officiated by Tim Harris, will take place at the funeral home on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 12:00 pm, interment will follow in the Restlawn Memory Gardens in Simpson Co., KY.
Brenda will be lovingly carried to her rest by pallbearers Cody West, Nick Ferguson, Austin Gray, CJ Perdue, Taylor Perdue, Tyler Gray, Jayden Findley, and Chris Minnicks.
Brenda Kaye Perdue will be remembered for her unwavering love, infectious spirit, and enduring wisdom. Her presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those she touched.
