Jerry Gallman Obituary Mr. Jerry Lewis Gallman was born in Prosperity, South Carolina to Vera Mae Dreher Gallman and the late Keister Gallman He transitioned to Eternal peace, where pain and sorrow are no more on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Gallman was employed with Bedenbaugh Logging for a great number of years from which he also retired. He attended the public schools of Newberry County.
Mr. Gallman enjoyed being outdoors. He loved nature, animals, fishing and hunting.
Mr. Gallman was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Willie Dreher and Stella Dewalt; paternal grandparents, L. Gallman and Bertha Williams; brothers, David Gallman, Evans Gallman, Robert Gallman, George Ray Gallman and Wyman Gallman; sister, Loraine Anderson.
Mr. Gallman leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Vera Mae Gallman; siblings, Jimmy Gallman (Karen), Henry Gallman (Andrena), Moses Gallman, Raymond Gallman (Dorothy), Benjamin Gallman, James L. Gallman, Ashley Gallman, Anisley Abney (Rose), Dorothy Long (John), Mary Wallace, Mary Gilliam, Linda Robinson, Sheree Camack and Marquesia Abney; sister-in-law, Phyllis Gallman, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other family as well as two very devoted friends, Jimmy Stoudemire and Ricky Stephens.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Lever Chapel AME Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
