Jerry Lee Garrison, 76, of Rockingham, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

He was born December 3, 1948, in Richmond County, son of the late Walter Benford Garrison and Vivian Wright Garrison.

Jerry proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His military career was important to him as well as his passion for our country. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Rockingham, and he loved the Lord. In prior years, Jerry enjoyed fishing.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Garrison; and brother, Reid Garrison.

Jerry is survived by his son, Shawn Garrison of Hamlet; grandchildren, Kelsey Sullivan, Ashton Gilmore, and Kaycee Gilmore; and brother, Benford Garrison (Jean) of Rockingham.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 11:00am-12 noon at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet.

The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 12:00 noon, in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home with his brother, the Reverend Benford Garrison officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park with full military honors.
