Jerry Giovengo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery - Nashville on Feb. 10, 2026.
Jerry Giovengo, age 71, passed away on January 30, 2026. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, he was born on February 7, 1954, to the late Phil and Dorothy Giovengo.

A man of immense dedication and a generous heart, he spent over 30 years as a devoted employee of Robert Orr Sysco. It was there that he built a successful career and met some of his most cherished, lifelong friends.

Despite his professional responsibilities, his true priority was always his family. He was a devoted husband, stepfather, and grandfather who made sure to find time for the people and activities he loved. Whether he was cooking, taking peaceful rides through the park, or simply enjoying the company of his wife and their beloved dogs-Ginger, Tootsie, Wink, Jack, Bobo and their cat, Elvira-he left a lasting mark on everyone he encountered.

His life was anchored by his faith, finding strength and comfort in the words of 2 Timothy 4:7-8: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness."

He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Giovengo; his stepdaughters Amber Reese and her husband Josh, and their son Major of Mt. Juliet, TN; and Elizabeth Teeter and her children Ava, Alivia, and Lathan of Panama City, FL. He will be deeply missed by a host of extended family and dear friends.
