Jerry Glick Obituary
Jerry "Fats" Glick, age 75 of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully with his daughter, Tracy by his side on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Jerry was born on May 18th, 1950 to the late Carl and Hilda Glick. He was the 13th of 14 children and grew up surrounded by the love and laughter of a large family. Jerry will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his great generosity and his lifelong passion for sports, his warm heart, sense of humor and kindness touched everyone who knew him. Jerry worked for many years at Merchandise Warehouse where he made lifelong frendships with many of his co-workers. He played softball for most of his life and spent countless hours at Berliner Park doing what he loved most, being on the field surrounded by friends, laughter and competition. Once his playing days were over, Jerry began coaching little league baseball. In his own words, the years he spent coaching were "the greatest years of his life". Over the years, he coached many young boys, but there was a special group of eight or nine he guided from the time they were just five years old until they reached their early teens. Those boys, now grown men, still fondly remember the lessons, encouragement and love "Coach Fats" shared with them both on and off the field. Jerry is survived by his daughter, Tracy Fritts; his grandchildren, Justin Brenhiser, Carl "CJ" Fritts (Jackie), Ella Fritts and Paige Foss; several great grandchildren; brother George (Joyce) Glick; sister, Sarah (Jack) Hensler and Jane (Bob) Leiper; sisters-in-law, Connie Bright and Cindy Holley; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Pamela Glick; his daughter, Stephanie Lambert Glick; his granddaughter, Erica Fritts Marcum; son-in-law,
Carl Fritts; mother-in-law, Donna Holley; sister-in-law, Yvonda Ellis; his parents, Carl and Hilda Glick; brothers, John, Chuck, Bill, David "Max" and Bobby; sisters, Mary Zobenica, Ruth Alley, Josephine Jordan,

His legacy will continue in the many lives he touched, especially the young men he coached, who still carry the lessons he taught them about teamwork, respect and heart. For their last time together they will carry him. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th at 12 noon at Walnut Hill Cemetery 915 Rathmell Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43207.
