Jerry D. Goff, Jr., age 77, entered peacefully into eternal rest at V. A. Medical Center on Saturday, April 26, 2025. He was a native of Lecompte, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Jerry retired after many years as an Operator/Trainer at several oil and gas refineries. He was formerly employed with Alliance Refinery, Conoco and Phillips 66. Jerry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, and for his bravery he was awarded numerous commendations. He served faithfully as a deacon at Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church in Marrero, until his health began to decline. Beloved husband of Rev. Shelly C. Goff. Loving father of Jacobee Goff, Fountainette (Shontre) Bradley, Kareem Bradley, Kirsty D. Bradley, Mikal Goff, Mauron Goff, and Marcia Goff. Son of the late Jerry D. Goff, Sr. and Helen Gistard Goff. Devoted brother of Lloyd (Roseda), Clarence (Janie), Kennon (Rhonda), Clenton and Tiajuana Goff, and the late Gloria Goff Johnson. Uncle of the late Sonya Johnson Pierre. Also cherishing his memories are 30 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church, Christian Restoring Hope Ministry, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Road, Marrero, LA on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00a.m. Pastor T. A. Ranson, Sr., host pastor; Pastor B. Barry Guillory, Sr. officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
