Jerry L. Goss, age 86, of Marion, Indiana, passed away at 9:26 pm on Friday, September 12, 2025, in Plainfield, Indiana.
Born on August 13, 1939, in Marion, Jerry was the son of Chloe (Murray) Pearson and Paul Goss.
Jerry was a proud graduate of Marion High School. He continued his education at Taylor University, earning his Bachelor's degree, and later received his Master's degree from Asbury Seminary. He served honorably in the United States Army, achieving the rank of SP-4 and receiving the Good Conduct Medal for his service.
Following his military career, Jerry worked for many years as an assembler at General Cable, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic until his retirement.
A man of faith, Jerry was a devoted member of God's Grace Ministries Church.
He is survived by his sister, Shirley Rapp of Avon, IN; his niece, Janette Fluharty, also of Avon; his nephew, Benjamin Rapp of Greencastle; two great-nieces, Grace Fluharty and Gabrielle Fluharty; a great-nephew, Grant Fluharty; and a great-great-niece, Luna Feldman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Archie Pearson.
A graveside service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
