Doris Livingston Goss, age 88, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16th at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Tapley and Rev. John Livingston officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Goss was born in Telfair County, Georgia on February 9, 1937, to the late George Washington Livingston and Mammie Sheppard Livingston. She worked for Sears for many years and later worked with the Georgia Department of Corrections. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin "Shorty" Goss, two sons Darrell Goss and Barry Goss, a brother G.W. Livingston and a sister Genevia Green. She was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include two sons Blane Goss, and Randy Goss (Carol), two brothers John Livingston (Karen) and Jimmy Livingston (Brenda), six sisters Corene Crutchfield, Joyce Starley (Larry), Laverne Tanner, Shirley Bentley (Lugand), Elaine Fields (Jim), and Oneze Smith (Ben), 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
