Jerry Holte Obituary
Jerry Grant Holte was born in Temple, TX on February 2, 1943 to Carl and Mary (Satre) Holte. He grew up in Grygla, MN and graduated from Goodridge High School in 1961. On October 10, 1965, Jerry married Peggy Sollund in Kennedy, MN. They made their home in East Grand Forks and Jerry worked at American Crystal Sugar until his retirement in 2005. Jerry enjoyed keeping up with his grandchildren, fishing, and a good joke or story. Jerry enjoyed watching the MN Twins, MN Vikings and UND Hockey.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy Holte of East Grand Forks; three sons Robert Holte of Sprague, WA, Ronnie (LeAnn) Holte of East Grand Forks, and Rikki (Shelby) Holte of Grand Forks; grandchildren Tim, Craig, Alicia, Travis, Ryan, Colton, Spencer and Jensen; great-grandchildren Gracelyn, Violet, Scarlette, Luna, Lillian, and Brooks. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Mary Holte; son, Ryan Holte; brothers, James (Gloria) and Richard Holte; niece, Diane Holte and nephew Payton Grandstrand and many other beloved extended family members.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721. Service will be live-streamed on Jerry's page at www.dandahlfuneralhome.com
VISITATION: One hour prior to the service also at Dahl Funeral Home on Saturday.
INTERMENT: Resurrection Cemetery of East Grand Forks, MN in the Spring of 2026.
