Jerry Keene Obituary
Garner, NC: Mr. Jerry Max Keene, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Friday, November 3, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks, NC. Pastor Thomas Parker and Pastor Phillip Bland will officiate. Burial will follow in the Keene Family Cemetery in Four Oaks, NC.
Mr. Keene was born in Johnston County, NC, on February 3, 1944 to the late Theron and Mildred Lassiter Keene. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth K. Keene, sisters, Ann Hargis and Shirley Parker, and brothers, Edward Keene, Bobby Keene, and Charles Keene. Mr. Keene retired from the Public Utilities Department, with the City of Raleigh, NC. He was a member of Garner Advent Christian Church in Garner, NC. He loved spending time with his family, and woodworking. Mr. Keene served in the US Army National Guard from 1962-1970.
Survivors include his son, Tim Keene and wife, Stephanie of Kenly, NC; grandchildren, Jordan Keene and wife, Cherokee, and Logan Keene; great-grandson, Cade Selph; step-son, Hunter Weaver; brother, Rev. Billy Keene; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:45PM-1:45PM- Friday, November 3, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the SECU Hospice House PO Box 1376 Smithfield, NC 27577.
