Jerry Lyndon Knepper, was born on December 4, 1931, in Bourbon, to Lindon Lloyd Knepper and Velma Knepper-Fites. He passed away on November 27, 2025, at Miller's Merry Manor in Warsaw. He lived a full life, marked by a dedication to his family, his community, and his craft. He married Mary Lou Swanson on August, 4, 1950.
Jerry was a talented carpenter, remembered for his significant contributions during his time at Reliable Builders, JA Wagner Construction, and Creighton Brothers. In his youth, he laid railroad ties, showcasing his strong work ethic and craftsmanship. He graduated from Atwood High School and served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his daughter, Jackie (Jerry) Clase of Etna Green. He was a proud grandfather to Karen Olds of Etna Green, Shelley (Mike) Pring of St. Joe, Indiana, Kim Vuittonet (Victor) of Milford, and George (Kelsey) Phillips of Bremen. Jerry was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Rebecca (Tom) Price of Warsaw.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou who passed in 2012; brother, Forrest Knepper; and his parents.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, is entrusted with care of Jerry and the family. Friends are invited to celebrate Jerry’s life at Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw, Indiana. Visitation will take place on December 12, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 7:00 PM. A graveside service with military honors will be held December 13, 2025 at Etna Green East Cemetery.
