Jerry Krueger

Jerry Wayne Krueger, age 74, of Monett, MO, passed away on January 1, 2024 while at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO following a sudden illness.
Jerry was born on July 28, 1949, in Monett, the son of the late Reno and Norma (Fellwock) Krueger. In 1963, Jerry was confirmed and graduated Eighth grade from Trinity Lutheran School followed by graduating from Verona High School with the class of 1967. Jerry had been lifelong farmer and was on the Freistatt Rural Fire Dept Board for over 29 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He liked eating chocolates, watching sports and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was also a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt, where he was part of Men's Glee, Usher, the Choir and Custodian for the last nine years.
Jerry married Gloria Ann Raines on July 12, 1974, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt. They have been blessed with over forty-nine years of wonderful memories made together.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Gloria, of the home; his son, Robbie Krueger and wife Terri, of Pierce City, MO; his daughter, Michelle Wallace, of Exeter, MO; eight grandchildren, Tyler Wallace, Bryan Krueger, Dale Larson, Kelsei Krueger, Josh Krueger, Aaron Sweaney, Allison Krueger and Kristen Krueger; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Krueger and wife Brenda, of Verona; one sister, Patsy Woods and husband George, of Monett; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Ashley Krueger; and his son-in-law, Les Wallace.
Funeral services for Jerry will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt with Reverend Jake Sletten officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday and from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Buchanan Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions are being directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
