Jacob Lewis Bailey, 45, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, surrounded by family at Cox South in Springfield, MO.

Jake was born in Springfield, Missouri on May 21, 1980 to Stanley Bailey and Laurel (Brown) Bailey. Jake was a graduate of Monett High School Class of 1998. He was employed at U.S. Bank for the past 17 years, serving in many roles, most recently as a senior customer relations coordinator in Monett. Jake was a loving, caring man. Even through illness while working at U.S. Bank he never failed to carry a smile. He was very competitive, turning daily tasks into competition with his son Gavin. As an avid sports fan he loved attending St. Louis Cardinals games with both Gavin and his brother Matt. But what he cherished most was his son's undeniable dedication and service to this great country as a member of the United States Navy.

On September 5, 2022, in Springfield, MO, Jake married Andress Boyer, they enjoyed making memories together.

Jake is survived by his wife, Andress Bailey of Rogersville, MO; son, Gavin Bailey of California, MD; his mother, Laurel Bailey and Kevin of Joplin, MO; step-mother Loretta Bailey and Kerry of Monett; brothers Matthew Bailey of St. Charles, MO and Dustin West of Monett; sister Nikole Wellbaum-Culbertson of Monett; and a host of extended family and friends.

Jake was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Bailey.

Visitation will be held from 3-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett. Memorial contributions have been requested to the Jacob Bailey Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, 301 Euclid Ave, Monett, MO.
