Jerry R. Link of Nashville, Tennessee, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 9, 2021. He was born on August 17, 1942 to the late Harry L. Link, Jr. and Lois Reed Link. He is survived by his wife, Trine Link, twin sister Judy F. Link, his children Robin Link Inglis (Mark) and Troy L. Link (Katie). He is also survived by five grandchildren, Nikki, Colton, Austin, Thomas, and Gretchen, six great grandchildren, and Denmark in-laws Bo Tidemann, Mikkel, Naja, Bjarke, and Annika. In addition, he is survived by many friends who considered Jerry their brother or father.
Jerry attended Vanderbilt University and Middle Tennessee State University. In high school he participated in sports and was voted most likely to succeed by his classmates and lived up to that superlative as the testimonies of the lives he touched have been flooding in. Jerry s heart for helping others coupled with his appetite for nature and adventure had a profound impact on so many. Jerry was a computer technology leader at Avco Corporation, and after retirement spent over 20 years as an REI team member where he shared his enthusiasm for the outdoors with thousands of people.
Jerry ran in numerous marathons, including ones in Nashville and Orlando where he completed the Disney Goofy Run. His dream was to thru-hike the entire Appalachian Trail which he accomplished in 2000. With his bride and best friend Trine, he enjoyed diverse outdoor and travel adventures such as hiking, kayaking, ice climbing, scuba diving and a family trip to Denmark.
Jerry s desire to be a Christ-led servant is evident through his volunteer work with Room in the Inn, international missions, and youth group trips out West just a few among many acts of service. He enjoyed reading the Bible daily. He had a natural ability to connect with people. He freely gave of himself as well as his possessions. His desire to connect, include, and mentor was surpassed only by his love for Jesus and his spiritual walk and example.
Join us as we celebrate Jerry s life at Edwin Warner Park, Pavilion 11, on October 17, 2021, at 2 PM. There will be a time to visit with family following the celebration. Dress hiker casual like Jerry!

Fond memories from kindergarten through high school. He was my
first boyfriend in kindergarten. Judy, so very sorry for your loss and the loss felt by those his life touched. Sounds like he was an exceptional person.

Jerry, I am so sad to hear that you´re gone. You were always so kind, so patient, so good-natured. I´m glad I got to work with you, to spend some time on this earth with your precious life.
