Jerry Wayne Loftis

Jerry Wayne Loftis, 73, of Nebo, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at his residence.
Jerry was born in McDowell County, NC, on June 17, 1949, to the late John Washington Loftis and Blanche Corn Loftis. Prior to retirement, he worked at Marion Manufacturing for many years. Jerry was a member of Woodmen of the World and was a Fellow at Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge #1705 in Marion. Jerry dedicated his life to helping others. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Chloe Grace Loftis; two brothers, Herbert Eugene Loftis and Terry Carroll Loftis; and two sisters, Sylvia Ann Rose and Iva Marie Hill.
Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Jerry Christopher Loftis (Traci); two brothers, John Lawrence Loftis (Pat) and Lemuel "Bo" Loftis (Libby); a sister, Doris Loftis Robinson; a special nephew, Terry Loftis; many other nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a grand dog and two grand cats.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
