Jerry D. Meadows

August 2, 1948 – August 8, 2025

With a life full of determination, drive, and a stubborn streak that kept him moving forward, Jerry left this world the way he lived in it-on his own terms and surrounded by those he loved.

Born on August 2, 1948, in Beckley, West Virginia, to Anna Mae Ward Barnabi and raised by John Barnabi-a man Jerry deeply respected and loved-he grew up in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. It was there he learned the values of family, hard work, loyalty, and standing your ground. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War, carrying that same commitment and grit into every chapter of his life.

Jerry shared 49 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Evelyn Meadows, who stood by his side through every project, fishing day, and adventure. He was a proud father to Jerry Dean Meadows Jr. (Heather), Jaclyn Hayes, and Alison Mae Curran (Justin). His grandchildren-Reed, Adam, and Isabella Meadows, and Jacob and Dylan Hayes; and special nieces and nephews. All who will remember him for his no-nonsense wisdom, strong work ethic, and his constant push for them to find success while living a life filled with happiness.

He is survived by his sister Vicki Lynn Rose, his brother Gene Meadows, and many close friends who became family.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Richard Meadows, Chuck Ohler, and his parents, Anna Mae and John Barnabi.

Jerry loved being with family and friends, casting a line in the water, and working around the house always with a project in motion and a plan in his head. He will be dearly missed by all.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be held on September 6th, 2025 in Panama City Beach, FL. For planning purposes, please contact Alison at [email protected] if you plan to attend and for additional details.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to an organization Jerry supported: Wounded Warrior Project or the Disabled American Veterans Organization.
