Tommy Kelly Dickson

Tommy Kelly Dickson "Brother Kelly" or "Papa", 83, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

Brother Kelly was born in Texarkana, Arkansas on January 20, 1942. He surrendered to the ministry and preached his first sermon at the age of 11. He was ordained on March 26, 1963 as a Southern Baptist Minister. Brother Kelly pastored his first church at the age of 19 in Hope, Arkansas. He served as pastor of churches in Arkansas, Texas and Florida from 1963-1998. Except from 1965 to 1972 when he served as a Pioneer Missionary in Alaska through the International Mission Board. He served primarily in Kenai, Alaska and was the president of the Alaska Baptist Convention. This gave him the opportunity to fly all over Alaska to serve and encourage Christians as they served in the most remote villages of Alaska. His heart has always been for all to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Brother Kelly is preceded in death by his parents Ethridge and Linnie Dickson; siblings, Adell Green, Willie Dickson, Esther Durham, Winfield Dickson, Wayne Dickson, and Loraine Nelson.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of sixty-four years, Mickie Dickson; daughter, Robin Stroud (Mike), Roni Jo; grandchildren; Christina (Nathan), Cassie (Gabe),

Jacob (Tisa), Emily and Matthew, and ten great grandchildren; sisters, Jesse Mae Henry and Mary Corrina Ousley; brother, George Dickson (Dixie).

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Wewahitchka, 436 Highway 71 South, with Pastor Mike Stroud and Pastor

Troy Varnum officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
