He was born March 17, 1947 in Indiana, PA to the late John and Ann Michna. He worked as a Teacher, Coach and Development Director for St. Thomas Aquinas High School for 26 years. After retiring from St. Thomas in 1995, he became a Financial Advisor and coached investors until 2023.
Jerry was very proud of his children and grandchildren and took great joy in watching them swim in his backyard pool. He was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and a Pittsburgh Pirates season ticket holder. True to his Slovak heritage, he enjoyed polka music and pierogis.
