Jerry Minton Obituary

He was born on August 22, 1949, in Paintsville, KY, to the late Joe Minton and Joy Rife Minton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother: Larry Minton.
On December 22, 1972, he married Mary Davis Minton, who survives. Additional survivors include one son: Jeremy Minton of Lexington, KY, one brother, Joey (Tammy) Minton of Dade City, FL, three sisters, Linda (Redd) Slater of North Carolina, Brenda Minton of Dade City, FL, and Mary "Cricket" (the late Tommy) Harper of Webster, FL.
Jerry served his country proudly as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 3 P.M. Sunday, November 16, 2025, in the Jones-Preston Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in the Auxier-Minton Cemetery at Hager Hill. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Saturday, November 15, 2025, and on Sunday from 12 Noon until the time of services at 3 P.M.
Jones-Preston Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with all final arrangements for Mr. Jerry Hager Minton.
