Jerry Dwayne Mitts, age 70, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025. He was born April 19, 1955, in Clinton, Missouri, to Babe Calvin Mitts and Mildred Beatrice (Kimble) Mitts.

He graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1973. He later went to work for Dunbrooke - Distribution Center for 40+ years. Jerry was a simple man. He always wanted to help people when he could. He was unselfish, outspoken, genuine, and a man of good hair. He loved to read outdoor magazines like Birds & Blooms, Missouri Conservationist and National Geographic. He enjoyed being outside, especially when bird watching and fishing with his friend Randy Gassen. He also enjoyed visiting with people, feeding and petting his cows, and cooking.

Jerry's father, Babe, and his sons had the biggest influence on his life and he was proudest of his sons and their accomplishments. He loved his grandkids and his relationship with them became the most important in his life.

Preceding Jerry in death were his parents and his beloved companion, Sarah Ford.

Survivors include his brother, James Mitts (Marilyn); Sons, Ethan Mitts and Evan Mitts (Alisha); Daughter, Alexa Benenhaley (Leo); Grandchildren: Zayne Mitts, Rowan Mitts, Mason Mitts, Reece and River Benenhaley; Niece, Amanda; two aunts; and numerous cousins.
