Jerry Mooberry Obituary
Jerry's passion was farming, taking over when his dad passed and continuing until this spring with help from his kids. Having family around was an important part of Jerry's life. He resided in town and often stated that if he lived on the farm, he wouldn't have anywhere to go.
He also worked construction, and later was a grain inspector for Peoria Grain Inspection & then Kankakee Grain Inspection.
Surviving is his wife Mary of Lacon, two sons, Todd (Jan) of Lowpoint, Corey of Lacon, two daughters, Mandy (Lance White) Mooberry of rural Washburn, Lori (Wes) Fitzjarrald of Arcadia, Florida; grandchildren MacKenzie (Jake) Durst of Lacon, Gabe & Leah Mooberry of Lacon, Sierra Lishman (Jerod Sarver) of Effingham, Kohl Dunshee of Sparland, Eli Lishman (Larissa Spellious) of Lacon, Gavin White (Payton Staser) of Washburn, Lisa (Tim) Cunningham of Andros Town, Bahamas; great grandchildren Eleanor Durst, Kade & Porter Sarver, Riley Lishman, Kacy (Stephen) Prather, 2 great great grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Scott (Nancy) Mooberry of Lacon, Ron (Holly) Mooberry of Henry; four sisters Elizabeth Allen, Mary (Gary) Beall, Linda Mooberry & Janet Mooberry, all of Lacon; and many nieces & nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter-in-law, Brandi Lishman-Mooberry.
Visitation will be held at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon on Sunday July 14 from 2-4 with Memorial Service to follow visitation at 4pm. Private burial service will be at later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude or KB Strong Foundation for Brain Cancer Awareness. Online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com

So sad to just hear Jerry passed. Worked with him for years , and also shared a few beers, when he was with the board of trade. Loved his stories of the old days in and around Lacon. Great smile. Great laugh. Great friend. He will truly be missed. Deepest sympathy to his family. Not many good old guys like Jerry left.
