It is with great love and a dash of humor that we celebrate the charismatic life of Jerry Nix, who was born on December 30, 1959, in Louisville, KY, and left us on January 26, 2025. Jerry was a man who carried his Kentucky charm all the way to his home in Bonney Lake, Washington, where he lived for 35 years. He was a vibrant soul who never met a stranger, and his infectious laughter could light up any room. Jerry was a generous man, always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it was with his family, customers, or coworkers. +
Jerry was a loving husband to his wife of 44 years, Susan, and a devoted father to Bobby, Jessica, and Kyle. He was a successful salesman in the automotive industry for 29 years, but his true passion was people. Jerry had an unparalleled love for his family, which included his precious grandkids Luke, Jojo, and Jack. He was a funny man who loved golfing, watching sports (with special shouts to the Kentucky Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals, Seahawks, Mariners, Kraken, and Sonics), and making people laugh. Summer was his favorite season, whether he was lounging by the pool or zipping around Lake Tapps on his WaveRunner. Jerry loved to tell stories about his childhood in Kentucky, weaving tales about his mother, siblings, and his life in Louisville.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Susan, his children Jessica Kissner, Kyle Kissner, and Bobby Nix, his mother Jean Nelson, and his grandkids Luke, Jojo, and Jack Kissner. His family and friends will remember Jerry as a man full of life, who loved deeply and laughed often. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched with his charismatic personality, great humor, and generous spirit.
Please feel free to leave your heartfelt memories of Jerry and upload your favorite photos of him on the memorial page. His story is far from over as we continue to share the laughter, love, and life of Jerry Nix.
