Jerry O. Cobb, Sr., age 80, passed away on May 7, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born on April 28, 1945, in Gilmer, Texas to John Elmer and Elva Ruth Cobb.
Jerry graduated from Woodlawn High School. He married Catherine Moore Cobb and had three beautiful children, Jerry Jr., Tim and Tonia. He worked as a mechanic since he was 15 years old. Jerry enjoyed working on bikes as a child and then moved on to vehicles. He also enjoyed hunting and reading a lot.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Odus, Ruth, Dewey, Milton, Glendale, and Parris; and wife, Catherine Moore Cobb. He is survived by his sister, Wanda Carter; children, Jerry O. Cobb, Jr. and wife Chandra, Tim Cobb and Evangeline Smith, and Tonia Hill and husband Ryan; grandchildren, Brad Cooley and wife Becca, Ashlyn Cobb and Arielle Kendrick.
A visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. with services to follow at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025 located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St Vincent Ave, Shreveport, LA 71103.Officiating the service will be Rev. Ryan MacKay and Rev. David Lindsay.
