Mr. Charles Edward Cobb, Sr., lovingly known as “Nite Train,” passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at his residence in Piedmont, South Carolina. Born on December 19, 1947, in Westminster, SC, Charles was the beloved son of the late Booker Town and Lucille Henderson Cobb. 

Charles leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mrs. Ernestine Cobb, and his children: Ms. Shatoya Cobb of Greenville, SC; Ms. Cynthia Verner and Ms. Kim Verner of Seneca, SC; Mrs. Shondra (Buna) Kinkela of Greer, SC; Mr. Charles (Trivia) Cobb of Greer, SC; Mr. Barry (Angel) Cobb of Charlotte, NC; Mr. Kelvin Simpson of Seneca, SC; and Mr. Anthony Schenck of Piedmont, SC.

 He is also survived by his siblings: Ms. Birtie Pennerman and Ms. Brenda Sue Cobb, both of Greenville, SC; Mr. William Howard Cobb of Hartwell, GA; and Mr. Grady Cobb of Baltimore, MD.

A celebration of Charles’s life will be held on January 15th, 2025, 11:00am at Welfare Baptist Church with interment in M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery. The family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone for their support and love during this difficult time.
