Jerry "JP" Lynn Paugh, 79, of Elkton, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024 at his home. He was born January 20, 1945 in West Virginia and was the son of the late Dorsey Lee Paugh and Dorothy Jean "Day" Paugh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Wilma Lovern; his sister, Carolynn Snyder, brothers, Dorsey Lee Paugh, Jr., Dale Paugh, Bobby Paugh, and Kenny Paugh.
JP retired from Maryland Paint after many years. He traveled all over painting bridges and tunnels. He loved his children and grandchildren; especially his new great-grandson. JP loved his two dogs, "Angel" and "Muffin" and his two cats, "Tiger" and "Maestro". He also enjoyed making his famous bacon gravy. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Butler and husband, George, Jennifer Paugh of Shenandoah; grandsons, Timothy Robert Butler, Thomas Cameron Butler; great-grandson, Ashton Tate Butler; sister, Joan Mitchell who is the only surviving sibling; closest nieces, Danielle, Alecia, Amy, Tabitha and Tina; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 to 4 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 111 Locustdale Loop, Shenandoah, Virginia 22849.
In remembrance of JP, cards and flowers are welcome to be sent to the home.
