Jerry D. Popp passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022, in Covington, Louisiana, at the age of 66. He was born on Wednesday, May 23, 1956, in Denver, Colorado to the late Darlene Popp Pyle and Melvin Popp. He was a resident of Folsom, Louisiana. Jerry served his community by volunteering at the Husser Fire Department and was a member of the Red Knights Chapter for many years. He made friends wherever he went and could converse with anyone. He will be missed dearly, with his infinite wisdom, witty humor, and sarcasm. He will be missed by all who knew him, family and friends. Jerry is survived by his wife, Tamara Popp, son & daughter-in-law, Jesse Popp (Rebecca), daughters Tiffany James and Teresa Waddington (Aaron), sister and brother-in-law, Janine Clark (Randall), brother & sister-in-law, Jack Popp (Patricia), sister, Jonelle Gillis, as well as his grandchildren, Veronica James, Layla Popp, Alexia and Aaron (Jr.) Waddington, Jayce James, Phoenix Popp. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darlene Popp Pyle and Melvin Popp; as well as his sister Judy Hartig. We will have a Celebration of his Life, date to be determined, to have everyone come together and celebrate the man we all knew and loved. Share memories, laugh, and remember the great man, Jerry Popp. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or to the family towards the services.
