Jerry Purdy Obituary
Jerry was born and raised in Loudon County. He worked as a painter for Russell Painting for more than 20 years. When he was able, he liked to see old cars that needed a little tender loving care get restored to their former beauty.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Mae (Cassidy) Moree and step-dad, John Moree and his father, Billy Dale Purdy.
His survivors include his daughter, Chelsie Purdy Foxx, Philadelphia; his son, Brent Purdy, Loudon, grandkids, Clayton (Arianna) Foxx, Skylar Foxx, Braxton Foxx and Brennyn Purdy; great-granddaughter, Nora Belle Foxx. The family would like to acknowledge his longtime friend and employer, Jerry Russell who looked out for Jerry until the very end.
The family will host a memorial gathering Sunday, August 18th at Valley View Free Will Baptist Church beginning at 1:30 PM until 4:00 PM.
