Jerry Wayne Renbarger, 91, of Wabash, Indiana, entered the arms of Jesus at 6:56 pm, Monday, June 16, 2025. He was born on September 26, 1933, in Wabash, to Robert and Lucille (Keaffaber) Renbarger.
Jerry graduated from Wabash High School in 1951 and completed the Purdue University Short Course. He married the love of his life, Joan Harms, on September 24, 1955. Jerry was a lifelong farmer; he loved farming and hauling grain. He was on the Indiana Soybean Association Board for nine years, and the Farm Service Agency Board for six years. Jerry loved Jesus, and was a member and Deacon of Bachelor Creek Church of Christ. He was also a volunteer for the Noble Township Fire Department for more than 20 years. He enjoyed watching Purdue sports and loved his grandkids, but above all, he adored his wife; they were always together. Sunday nights, you could find Jerry and Joan playing card games with their friends.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Renbarger of Wabash; three children, Randy (Cindy) Renbarger of Wabash, Shelly (Jerry) DeVore of Seneca, South Carolina, and Julie Echard of Wabash; six grandchildren, Adam (Danielle) Renbarger and Mandy Renbarger, both of Wabash, Nicholas (Kelley) DeVore of Bloomington, Indiana, Krista (Aaron) Hoevel of Portland, Indiana, Dustin (Jessica) Echard of Wabash, and Kylie (Grant) Ricke of Greensburg, Indiana, and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Walker.
