He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Thornton Reynolds; parents, Gordon and Lillian Reynolds; brothers, Fred, Henry, Dan, and Lee Reynolds; and sisters, Dorothy Cargle and Louise Pledger.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Denise (Leon) Rhinehart; son, John (Frances Boo) Reynolds; grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Weaver, Jessica (Allen) Smeed, Erika (Toby) Simmons, and Hayden Gus Reynolds; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and the beloved mother of his children, Carol Reynolds.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 18, 2024, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wayne Loveless officiating.
Interment will take place in LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be John Reynolds, Hayden Gus Reynolds, Eli Weaver, Ethan Weaver, Tony Smith, and Robin Christian. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Weaver, Allen Smeed, and Toby Simmons.
A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 pm until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
