Jerry was born January 31, 1946 to Delma Lee (Hutchings) Rodgers and Howard Leslie Rodgers and was raised in Gallatin, MO. He graduated The Missouri School of Mines in Rolla, MO with a bachelor's degree in physics, electrical engineering, mathematics, and philosophy. He also spent multiple semesters working at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Jerry married Nancy May Kline on June 16, 1980. He really enjoyed his work as a substation engineer working for NW Electric and ending his career, after 22 years, as a consultant with Lutz, Daily, and Brain in Kansas City. He's remembered for his brilliant mind and quick whit and as a loving, protective father who always made sure his family had everything they wanted. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, coaching YMCA teams and target shooting. Jerry lived in Cameron, MO for the past 37 years. He passed after a lengthy illness.
Jerry was proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Micheal Leslie Rodgers, and Great Nephew Nicholas Babin. Jerry is survived by his wife Nancy (Kline) Rodgers. Daughter Alison Michelle Rodgers, son Theron Michael (Karen Blaha) Rodgers. One grandchild Zish Anitra Blaha – Rodgers. Sister-in-law Cheryle Rodgers, Niece Michelle Rodgers and David Babin. Great Nieces Mikayla Babin, Jordan Babin, and Great Nephew James Babin. That's along with numerous Kline family in-laws.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Gallatin on October 3, 2025 at 10:30am under the direction of Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin. (660) 663-2117. Online guestbook at www.stithfamilyfunerals.com
