Zora Sue McCampbell, 18 day old infant daughter of Hunter and Kayla (Porter) McCampbell passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, after a hard fought battle. Zora was born on August 26, 2025, in Kansas City, MO, alongside her twin sister, Lyla. Known for her bright red hair and always being the chill baby. Her nickname was froggy. Zora was loved by many people. Her parents are sorry that so many people will never get to meet her.
Zora was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Dustin McCampbell; maternal grandfather, Kenneth Porter; maternal great-great grandparents, Alice and Lewis Nelson; paternal great-grandmother Jodi Frazier; paternal great-great grandparents, Dale And Margaret Stith, Don and Erma Rains, Merlin and Rosella McCampbell and Maryann Cook. She is survived by parents, Hunter and Kayla; twin sister, Lyla; brother, Malachi Moore of Gallatin, MO; parental grandparents, Tori and Milton Cook of Gallatin, MO; maternal grandparents, Ticey and Armando Acosta of Kansas City, MO; paternal great-grandparents, Junior And Judy Stith of Gallatin, MO, Randy Frazier of Weatherby, MO, Milton and Carrie Cook, and Lawrence Vaught of AL; maternal great-grandparents, David and Sue Moore of Smithville, MO and Debbie Nelson of Kansas City, MO; aunts: Rosa Acosta of Kansas City, MO, Lexi Porter of Kansas City, MO, Mea McCampbell of Gallatin, MO, Miley McCampbell of Gallatin, MO and Avasa Cook; several great aunts, great uncles, cousins and other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House Charities Kansas City in care of the funeral home. Private family services will be held.
