Jerry Seabolt Obituary
Jerry was born on January 20, 1941 to Barney and Gertrude Seabolt in Cobb County Georgia. After Jerry graduated from Banks County High School in 1959, he went on to own Seabolt's Grocery for 17 years, worked for the United States Postal Service in Commerce, Georgia before retiring in 2001, and attended Blacks Creek Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon for over 50 years.
On September 6, 1959, Jerry married Nadine McGinnis, of Jackson County. They have four children, Mona Seabolt Proulx (Michel), Tim Seabolt (Allison), Donna Seabolt Holloway (Buck), Gail Seabolt Robertson (David).
After serving our community as a postal worker, Jerry spent his time fishing, watching his grandchildren's sporting events, attending church, and being with his family.
Jerry is survived by Nadine; his four children and their spouses; six grandchildren (Jean-Francois Gosselin Proulx (39), Josh Haynes (Haley), Reuben (33), Mackenzie (23), Amelia (18), Jax (14); and two great-grandchildren, Holland (11) and Dash (8). He is also survived by his brothers, Joe Seabolt (Sheila) and Ray Seabolt (Wanda), and sister Ann Hatfield (Charlie).
Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Seabolt.
Jerry will be remembered for his love of Jesus, family, friends, and sports. He was an example of love, honor, and integrity for all who knew him. He will be missed dearly by all.
Funeral Services for Mr. Seabolt will be held on Monday, January 8th, 2024 at 11:00AM in the Ivie Funeral Home Chapel. The Committal service will take place immediately following the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 7th, 2024 from 5:00PM-8:00PM.
