Jerry Wayne Sison, age 74 of Gulfport, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Florencio and Virginia Sison and his brothers, Ted Sison and Sidney “Sid” Sison.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Nancy Sison; his children, Dana (Jason) Vincent and Jared (Heather) Sison; step children, Robert (Tabitha) Rich, Juanita Buchanan, Roberta (Chris) Lute, and Nathaniel Rich; his siblings, Mary Todd, Florencio “Junior” Sison, Jenny Ladner, Brenda Sison, Karol Sanderson, Karen Toman, and Rubin Sison; his grandchildren, Reece Vincent, Phoebe Sison and Penelope Sison; ten step grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was born and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi, where he grew up surrounded by the love and energy of a large family. At a young age, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Navy, proudly dedicating four years of his life to military service.
After his time in the Navy, he pursued his passion for working with his hands, becoming a skilled auto mechanic known for his ability to fix just about anything. A true jack of all trades, he especially enjoyed restoring old cars and bringing them back to life.
He was never one to sit still—he loved to dance, laugh, and spend time with those closest to him. Some of his happiest moments were shared over plates of fresh seafood with his family and friends, enjoying good food and even better company.
