Jerry Kenneth Smith, 70 year old, retired farmer and truck driver of White Oak, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018. He was preceded in death by father: Henry B. Smith; mother: Ruby Maxwell Smith; four brothers: Dan Smith, LaVerne Smith, Lacy Smith, Charlie Smith and sister: Mary Lilly Parker. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 47 years: Betty Brennan Smith of the home; daughter: Aimee Smith of White Oak; four sisters: Eldridge Hudson of New Bern, Brenda Hales of Eastover, Peggy Little of Goldsboro, Effie McDuffie of Holden Beach; two grandsons: Tucker and Wyatt Wilkins of White Oak and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 7th from 6-8pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 8th at 2pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Helms officiating. Burial will follow service in the White Oak Baptist Church cemetery.
