Jerry was born May 6, 1947 to Clarence and Peggy Taylor. He graduated from Childress High School in 1965. After graduating he joined the United States Army. August 6, 1966 he married Brenda Britain. Together they have one daughter Amie and one grandson Michael.
Jerry retired from the Army in 1985 after 20 plus years of service. He then went to work for Texas Department of Transportation for 20 years; retiring in 2005. Jerry loved scroll saw wood working and working in his yard.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Donna Golden.
Jerry is survived by his Wife, Brenda Taylor; Daughter, Amie Martin and husband Dennis; Grandson, Michael Kelm; Sister in Law, Cheri Chapman and several nieces and nephews.
Brenda would like to thank Dr. Pratt; his office-and the nurses with home hospice.
The family is honoring his wishes, there will be no viewing or memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that you do something fun with your family.
