Jerry Troyanos, 85, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away peacefully on June 8, 2021 with family by his side. Jerry was born June 5, 1936 in NYC, NY to Stephanos and Mary Troyanos. Jerry loved entertaining his friends and family with fond memories of his growing up in NY. Jerry attended the New York School of Music and then joined the Army. After the Army, Jerry went to work at Macy's in their flagship downtown store. Jerry started out as a Stockman, then became a Buyer, and eventually became a Store Manager. One of his fondest memories was of his years as a clown in the annual Macy's Day Parade. His passion for retail never wavered, eventually brining him to AZ where he managed several different Dillard Stores, in Las Vegas, Albuquerque, and Phoenix. Jerry was happiest on a golf course, a tennis court, traveling with his wife and friends all over the world, and playing his beloved piano. Jerry touched so many people with his smile, his humor, and love of music. Jerry is survived by his wife, Susan, his sons, Jerry Jr of NY, John of VA, Michael of FL, Scott of AZ, and daughter Tatiana of FL., and his nine grandchildren, Allison, Joanna, James, Richard Jr., Kristin, Juliana, Dominique, Nathan and Jacob. Jerry's son Richard proceeded him in death in 2006. Jerry will be interred in the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery on Friday June 25, 2021. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at MVP Church south campus, (formerly Scottsdale Presbyterian Church) on Saturday June 26, at 10:00, 3421 N. Hayden RD., Scottsdale, AZ. 85251, and will be followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall. Donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
