Jerry Foster Tuggle, age 83 a lifelong area resident passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025 with his family by his side. He was born November 2, 1941 the son of Charles Edward & Wilma Maydean (Anderson) Tuggle in Romeo. He graduated from Almont High School in 1959 where he was in FFA and had a grand champion black angus named Blackie. He was also active with 4-H after high school. Jerry married his beloved wife Marlene Gnepper on September 22, 1962 in Romeo. He was a former member of the Almont Lions Club. Jerry began his farming career, C E Tuggle & Sons. He ran a faro to finish hog farm having up to 3000 pigs at a time. He also raised beef cattle and crops to feed his livestock. Jerry started tractor pulling in 1979 with a 560 International he named the Binder Boy. In 2000 he began pulling with a 4010 John Deere named Old # 10 the Violator, which, was a farm used tractor he used since he started farming. Jerry enjoyed tractor pulling with his family and traveled all over Michigan from Armada to the Upper Peninsula and into Canada going to Quebec and Ottawa.
He is survived by his loving wife Marlene Tuggle of Dryden and his son Mark Tuggle of Rochester Hills. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Wilma Tuggle and his brother Jay Tuggle.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 3:00-8:00pm at the Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 11:00am with friends gathering at 10:00am all at Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, 2650 S. Van Dyke-Imlay City, MI 48444. Memorial Donations can be made in Jerry's name to the Southwestern Ontario Tractor Pullers.
