Jerry Ray VanSickle, 81, of Smithfield, passed away on Saturday April 26, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 25, 1943 in Confluence, the son of the late Charles E. and Judith (Bartock) VanSickle and stepmother Betty J. VanSickle.
In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Thelma C. (McClanahan) VanSickle; and siblings Edgar VanSickle, Donna Jean VanSickle, Lawrence VanSickle, Charles W. VanSickle, and Nancy Hall.
Jerry is survived by his son Jerry Ray VanSickle Jr. (Paula Weidel) of Grays Landing; siblings Lucy David of Uniontown, Joyce Lake of New Hampshire, Clark "Sonny" VanSickle of Farmington, Rosemary Goodwin of Brownsville, Wanda Sherry of Farmington, Myrtle Cole of Uniontown, Andy VanSickle of Uniontown, Phillip VanSickle of New Salem, Mable Wilson of Farmington, Walter VanSickle of Chalk Hill, Brenda Braham of Bruceton Mills and Edward VanSickle of Bruceton Mills.; special aunt Donna Jean Hartman; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; and his beloved pet Candy.
He served as President of Fairchance Rod and Gun Club. He was a lifetime member of Gravley Club and NRA.
Jerry was a retired Electrician working over 20 years for Berkley Medical.
Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD on Wednesday April 30 from 2-8pm. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday May 1 from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am with Pastor Duane Biller officiating. Interment will be held privately with the family.
