Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions - North Dayton ChapelJerry R. Venters Jr., age 52, of Northridge, passed away surrounded by family and loved ones.
Born to Jerry R. Venters Sr. and Dorothy (Dottie) Asher, Jerry’s life was defined by his devotion to family, his passion for coaching, and his deep love for the Northridge community. For 38 years, Jerry dedicated himself to coaching, shaping not only athletes but also the character and lives of countless young people. His legacy lives on in the many players and families who were touched by his guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Jamie, and their three children: Tyler (Taylor), Sierra (Lane), and Chase. He was a proud grandfather to Willow and Emmett, and was joyfully awaiting the arrival of his third grandchild, Oakley. He is also survived by his mother Dottie and father Ron Asher; brothers Jason (Amanda) and Derek; sisters Jessica, Jamie, and Jeralyn (Cory); and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry R. Venters Sr., and his brother Jeremy.
Jerry’s greatest joy was his family, and his heart was fullest when surrounded by them. He will be remembered for his warm smile, his boundless generosity, and the way he poured his heart into coaching and mentoring others. His impact on his community will live on through the generations he inspired.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Agape Family Worship Center, 4111 Mapleview Drive, Beavercreek, Ohio, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm.
