In 1967, he studied for one year at Texas Bible College then located in Houston, Texas and finished his degree at Apostolic Bible Institute, St. Paul Minnesota on June 7, 1970. I had the pleasure of knowing Rev, Wheat and his wife as customers of mine both at Lowes and at Dollar General and even got to work with their granddaughter Jackie while at DG. Rev. Wheat was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. May the Lord raise you up in this time of sorry. Our thoughts and hearts are with you during this time.

To Sis. Wheat and the Wheat Family,

It was a pleasure knowing Bro. Wheat who was a great man of God. What a wonderful legacy he leaves to all the church family and saints of Rosenberg and all that knew him. Rosenberg has been effected by his presence in this city and all the people that came to know the Lord because of his labor for God. This labor will continue to ripple across Rosenberg for years to come. Thanks to the Wheat family for all the times you lent him out to the saints while Bro Wheat helped someone
that was in need. His labor and yours will not go unrewarded by the Master and Lord Jesus Christ. Bro Wheat has done his part and the Lord will keep his promise.

I Cor. 15: 52 ... for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Thank you Bro Wheat for all you did for us!!!

Dad, I will miss you dearly and I will promise to catch you in the air someday. You have ran your race well and the Lord has a just reward and a Crown of Righteousness for you! You always said you would not retire but you can now, so unbuckle that heavy armor and enjoy the fruits of labor for a faithful service to the King of Kings, Jesus Christ.
