Jerry Yates Obituary
Jerry Lee Yates, age 63, of Honaker, Va., passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at his home.
He was born September 20, 1962, in Buchanan County, Va.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Arkie Edward Yates and Alice Marie Barton Hess; he was also preceded in death by his girlfriend's son, Horace B. Musick, Jr.; two daughters, Sandra Street and Mary Magdalene Crabtree; and three brothers-in-law, Ron Jones, Carter Wilson, and Thurman Wilson.
He is survived by his girlfriend of 35 years, Bertha Jane Musick, of the home; five siblings: Kenneth "Junior" Yates; Mary Jones; Eliza Wilson; Wanda Wilson and Tony Cook; and Melissa Gaye Yates, all of Honaker, Va.; and his girlfriend's grandchildren, Travis Combs and Carter Combs.
