Jerry Wayne Young, 69, of Glasgow, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born on April 22, 1955, in Kennett, Missouri to the late Cova J. Young and the late Imogene Pierce Young. He was a cherished figure in the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy filled with love and fond memories.
Jerry is survived by his beloved partner, Nancy Emmitt, who was the love of his life. Together, they shared many beautiful moments. He was the proud father of Jerry W. Young Jr. and his wife Christine, and Jimmy Emmitt. As a grandfather, Jerry found joy in the lives of Sam Young and Kimberly Beal, and he embraced his role as a great-grandfather to Sabastian Beal.
Jerry was also a brother to Jim Young and his wife Donna, Terry Young and his wife Julie, and Allan Young and his wife Heather. His sister, Covajean Brown, along with several nieces and nephews, also survive him, all holding memories that will forever remain close to their hearts.
Throughout his life, Jerry was known for his love of animals and his passion for avid fishing, hobbies that brought him great joy and fulfillment. Friends and family will remember him for his kind spirit and warmth.
Visitation will be held on March 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.F Crow & Son Funeral Home located at 201 East Washington St, Glasgow, KY. A funeral service will be conducted on March 12, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM, concluding with a burial at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
Jerry Wayne Young will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit will live on through the love of his family and friends, as they cherish the memories of a remarkable man.
