Jesse Ashby Obituary
ASHBY, Jesse Jackson, age 79, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at his home. Private arrangements were entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.
Jesse was born on February 12, 1944 in Detroit the son of the late Jesse and Roxie (Crumbaker) Ashby. He graduated from Lowry High School, class of 1962. Jesse worked in advertising in New York City for several years. He also owned and operated a restaurant in Miami for some time. Jesse was very intelligent and loved watching Jeopardy. In his free time you could find him on the beach or home with his favorite kitty.
He is survived by several extended family members. In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by his twin sister, Anna Orrys; and siblings, Joyce Clark, Robert Ashby and Doris Goins. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
