Jesse 'Jay' Louis Ault Jr, 77, passed away peacefully at home in Annapolis, MD on December 18, 2024.
Jay was born in New Jersey on September 18, 1947, the son of Jesse Louis Ault Sr and Jean Abbott Ault. He later moved to Gibson Island, MD. He attended Severn School and graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1965. He was then drafted into the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War.
Jay moved to Annapolis in 1975 where he built the house he lived in for the remainder of his life. He worked in telecommunications until his retirement in 2013 from Ault Communications, a company he founded with his brother James. He was an avid gardener who enjoyed his many plants both inside and outside. His favorite activity was being on the sidelines of the sports games, and dance performances of his granddaughters. He looked forward to every opportunity to spend time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Angie Holmes (Tre'), son Rick Ault (Beth), four grandchildren, his sister Jane Ault, brother James (Sandra) Ault, as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Jennifer Ault, and brother Jeffery Ault.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Jay's life on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Lasting Tributes Cremation and Funeral Care, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis MD 21401, from 11 am until 1 pm. A private interment will occur at Druid Ridge Cemetery in Baltimore.
