Jesse Ryan Brown, age 44, passed away May 8, 2025 at Johnson City Medical Center. Jesse was born October 22, 1980 to Donald Smith Brown Jr. and the late Mary Kate Laws.

Jesse had an outgoing personality and was a big jokester. He loved spending time with friends and family and was often the peacemaker between everyone. He also liked hunting and cooking.

Those left to cherish his memories include his father, Donald Brown Jr.; step-father, Larry McCall; fiancée, Dawn Stanton; god-daughter, Gabi; god-sons, Zak (Rabbit), Timothy, Andrew; sisters, Melissa Brown Parker (Mike), Donna Brown Honeycutt (Douglas); special brother, Shawn Marsh (Tamara); nieces and nephews, Ashley (Mark), Kendra (Chris), Jamie (Brittney), Patrick, Dylan (Orri); special great niece and nephew, Kylie and Gavin.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastors Shannon Courtner and Warren May officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at Green Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jett Arnold, Bill Tester, Matt Tester, Antonio Sanchez, Shawn Marsh, Des Ward, Dylan Honeycutt, and Roger Stanley. Honorary pallbearers are Gavin Woodards, Eric and Caleb Trivette, Jeff Brown, Jack and Johnny Arnold, Howard Stout, Barney Dugger, Joey Fisher, Brian Richardson, Doug and Brandon Stanton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain City Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
