Jesse A. Dunn, 42, of Clay passed away on August 10th, 2024. Jesse's journey on this earth began on November 13th, 1981, and in his 42 years of life, he touched countless hearts and inspired many with his kindness and unwavering generosity.

Education was of great importance to Jesse, as evidenced by his perfect attendance throughout his 12 years at Cazenovia Central School. He continued his academic journey at SUNY College of Albany, graduating with a degree in Business & Economics. His academic achievements were a source of pride for him, showcasing his dedication and diligence.

Jesse's dedication to his work was a testament to his strong work ethic. In his career, he served as a Cleaner for Cazenovia Assembly of God Church, he did lawn work with Parks and Recreation, Rapid Response, GHI Insurance Company, and the Aetna Insurance Company in NY, NY which was his goal! His commitment to his various roles earned him the respect and admiration of all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

Despite facing the challenges of acute depression and schizophrenia, and having his first breakdown in 2011, Jesse's resilience shone through. His proudest accomplishment was acquiring his own home, a testament to his strength and determination in overcoming obstacles. He then went to stay with his family for several years, stating that he Blessed them immensely. He spent the last 2 years as their chief, cook, and bottle washer (not so much).

Those who knew Jesse remember him as a beacon of kindness and compassion. He had a heart of gold and was a caring friend to all who crossed his path, even those from as far back as school. Jesse never spoke an ill word about anyone and his generosity knew no bounds. He delighted in showering his family and friends with thoughtful gifts, spreading joy wherever he went.

In his untimely passing, by suicide, we are reminded of the importance of cherishing the moments we have with our loved ones. Jesse's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Jesse leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to have him in their lives. May he rest in peace, knowing that he made a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his parents, JoAn and Peter Dunn; his brothers, Robert and his wife Swantz (Julian, Madet, Marlese) Lyon, Paul and his wife Tiffanie (Zachary) Lyon, Travis and his wife Sonya (Jackson, Molly) Lyon, and Brett and his partner Karen (Ryan, Max) Dunn.
