Jesse Erik Estrada Palomino, affectionately known as Erik, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, at the age of 36, surrounded by his loving family. Erik was born on November 14, 1987, in Dallas, Texas, to his devoted parents, Cinda and Eddie Palomino Jr.
Erik was a beloved teacher in the Arlington Independent School District (AISD) for many years, with a special passion for working with children with disabilities. His dedication and kindness left a lasting impact on his students, colleagues, and the parents he worked with. Erik's warm heart and joyful spirit were evident in every aspect of his life. He was the life of every gathering, always ready with a joke or a quick-witted remark that would have everyone laughing. Erik had a deep love for music, especially concerts and Broadway musicals, and was a frequent attendee of both. He also had a special place in his heart for New York City, where he cherished many memories.
Family was everything to Erik. He was a devoted son, a caring brother, and a doting uncle. His nieces and nephews adored him, and he always made time to be with them, whether it was babysitting, playing, or just spending quality time together. Thanksgiving was a special time for Erik, as he lovingly prepared the family dressing using a cherished recipe passed down from his mother, ensuring her memory was honored.
Erik's love language was food, and he found joy in cooking for those he loved. He also enjoyed helping his father at the Elks Lodge, where he selflessly served the community in any way he could. Erik had a big heart, a deep love for his family, and a unique ability to lift the spirits of everyone around him.
Erik is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Cinda Palomino. He is survived by his father, Eddie Palomino Jr.; his sister, Raquel Palomino; his brother, Eddie Palomino III, and sister-in-law, Michelle; his sister, LeAnn Garman, and brother-in-law, Frank; his brother, Anthony Palomino, and sister-in-law, Aubrie; his five nieces, five nephews, and one great-niece, all of whom he adored.
A memorial service to honor Erik's life will be held on August 31, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. A reception will follow at the Elks Lodge, 601 W Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington, TX 76010. Erik's family and friends will come together to celebrate his life, his love for music, his sense of humor, and the countless memories they shared with him.
