The time I spent growing up with Jesse as my guardian, teacher, and dad was some of the most safe and comforting time for my brother and me. Jesse embraced us as his own children and loved us unconditionally. He wholeheartedly supported every interest, activity, and whim we had. Whether we were playing basketball on the street or learning to cook and sew, he was always there for us, teaching us. We bonded over superheroes and spent countless hours in the garage talking about motorcycles, young adult fiction, and homemade wine. He was there for my brother and me in ways no one else was, and for that, we were immensely grateful. We loved him for unconditionally loving us as we were.

Jesse will always be one of the kindest and most compassionate people I know. Jesse was not one to judge others. His humble and gentle nature was reflected in the many unspoken acts of kindest he so willing did for others. I will miss Jesse´s mischievous smile, his hug, his loyalty, and all of the wonderful aspects that are part of his personality. I will always be grateful for the unbreakable bond Jesse shared with his mother. The love and devotion between a mother and son runs deep enough to cross the boundaries of time, complete enough to provide unconditional acceptance and support, and pure enough to forever bind their hearts as one. My deepest condolence to my precious sister Janet, Jesse´s father Doug, and each family member and all friends that will forever love and cherish the memories of such a wonderful young man.
